A new casino is opening at Foxwoods Resort Casino, with a “forest-like atmosphere” that features the appearance of clouds and light refracting through trees.
The Pequot Woodlands Casino, located in the Grand Pequot Concourse, is set to open on Aug. 29.
“We are proud to open our Pequot Woodlands Casino, one of the most significant property updates we have made in recent years,” said Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods. “This incredible achievement speaks volumes about Foxwoods’ growth and innovation over the past year, as we continue to focus on offering our guests world-class amenities.”
The new casino spans 50,000 square feet and contains more than 430 slot machines, a 40-seat slot bar named “Truth Searcher,” 24 table games, a new high-limit slot room, a public bar and a casino cage, among other things.
The modern design also contains design and symbols tied to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which owns Foxwoods.
The Pequot Woodlands Casino is near Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen Foxwoods restaurant, which recently opened.
