The long-awaited replacement for the former McDonald’s at Bishops Corner in West Hartford is set to open next week.
Chick-fil-A said Thursday it plans to open the 5,000-square-foot location at 2534 Albany Ave., on Thursday, June 12. The national chain known for its chicken sandwiches and waffle fries succeeds the national burger chain, which closed in that location in November 2023.
Chick-fil-A said the new restaurant will employ about 90 people. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, carry-out, delivery and catering.
The Bishops Corner store is the chain’s second in West Hartford. The other is located at 509 New Park Ave.
To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A said it will donate $25,000 to Feeding America to support the efforts of Connecticut Foodshare, a Feeding America partner food bank.
The Chick-fil-A location joins another new restaurant that opened this year in the plaza at Bishops Corner. Just Salad, a New York City-based fast-casual restaurant chain, opened in February.
Chick-fil-A Inc. is the third-largest, quick-service restaurant company in the United States, employing more than 200,000 people in more than 3,000 locally owned restaurants in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
