A New Haven-based aircraft charter service, Fly The Whale, is launching a new route between Block Island and Westerly, Rhode Island, which will run four times a day starting Nov. 4.
The route will be the air carrier’s first regularly scheduled service in the Northeast. Fares start at $75 each way with round-trip service.
The flight duration is about 20 minutes. Flights will depart from Westerly State Airport at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flights from Block Island back to Westerly depart at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Fly The Whale also has regularly scheduled service in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
The air carrier also offers private charters in the Northeast, including flights from Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport to New York City and Boston. It also provides charter service seasonally in Florida and The Bahamas.
