New Haven, Hartford law firms combine

A New Haven law firm says it’s acquired a smaller outfit based in downtown Hartford in an effort to beef up its litigation team.

Neubert, Pepe & Monteith P.C. on Tuesday announced it completed its purchase of Fontaine Alissi P.C. last week for an undisclosed sum.

The combined company now operates under the Neubert, Pepe & Monteith name and employs 32 attorneys. Headquartered in downtown New Haven, the firm also has offices in Fairfield, White Plains, N.Y., and in Fontaine Alissi’s existing space in The Stark Building at 750 Main St.

The New Haven firm in a news release said Fontaine Alissi has primarily focused on professional, dental and medical malpractice liability defense and general liability defense.
