New Haven Night Market returns Oct. 8 to Ninth Square

With more than 60 vendors expected, New Haven’s Night Market returns on Oct. 8 with hopes of luring more shoppers and diners to downtown after hours.

The market will be staged in Ninth Square from 5-10 p.m. and features artists, shops, restaurants and nonprofits at outdoor booths, plus music, raffles and other events.

Ninth Square brick-and-mortar businesses including Barcade, Miso, Artspace New Haven, Bark & Vine and Hunan House will also offer special promotions.

The downtown Temple Street Garage will offer $5 event parking with a voucher from the Night Market and the Audubon Apartments is sponsoring live music every hour at the Night Market Stage. 

Past night markets have drawn hundreds of people to vendors along Orange Street from Center to George.

Organizer Town Green District urges attendees to this year’s market to wear masks and practice social distancing in crowded spaces at the event.
