New Haven-based Industrial Flow Solutions signed a deal to buy Dreno Pompe, an Italian maker of electrical submersible pumps for wastewater applications, the company announced Wednesday.
The deal is the second overseas move in recent months for the fluid-management company, which is expanding its footprint in Europe.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Industrial Flow Solutions President John Wilson said, “We see a long and complementary partnership between Industrial Flow Solutions and Dreno Pompe and are excited to be collaborating with such a respected brand.”
Dreno Pompe, located in Italy’s Padua province, designs and manufactures pumps and accessories for residential, civil, industrial and construction applications. The firm is known for its Compatta and GRIX product lines, and recently expanded its offerings to add construction pumps for abrasive materials.
Owned by May River Capital, Industrial Flow Solutions specializes in fluid-management products for rugged environments in the industrial, commercial and municipal wastewater sectors. Its product lines include its OverWatch direct in-line pump systems, BJM Pumps, Stancor Pumps and Controls and Clearwater Controls.
In October 2021, Industrial Flow Solutions bought Scotland-based Clearwater Controls, further expanding its European presence.
