New Jersey-based Abra Health acquires dentistry group based in CT

Contributed All About Kids Pediatric Dentistry, with four offices in Connecticut, has been acquired by New Jersey-based Abra Health Group.

Abra Health Group, a dental and healthcare services company based in Secaucus, New Jersey, said Tuesday it has acquired All About Kids Pediatric Dentistry, which has four locations in Connecticut.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

All About Kids Pediatric Dentistry was formed in 2006 by Dr. Helene Straza, founder and president, according to business records filed with the Secretary of the State’s office. The business has four offices, located in Danbury, Derby, Norwalk and Stamford, and offers pediatric dentistry and orthodontic services.

By acquiring the Connecticut-based dentist group, Abra expands its operations into a third state, joining offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

“This acquisition aligns with Abra's commitment to delivering exceptional care to underserved communities,” the company said in a news release. 

In addition to the acquisition, Abra also announced plans to open a new location in Bridgeport in 2025. 

"Expanding into Connecticut is a monumental step for Abra,” said Dr. Michael Skolnick, Abra CEO and founder. “This acquisition and the upcoming Bridgeport location reflects our commitment to investing in the well-being of families and ensuring they have access to the care they deserve."

Founded in 2008 by doctors Michael and Brooke Skolnick, a husband-and-wife dental team, Abra Health Group is a rapidly expanding family of health practices.
