Westfarms announced Monday that a premium furniture store and tea shop will be among the mall’s new retail tenants.
Arhaus, which designs and sells home furnishings, will open next year. The retailer is scheduled to start building a new 9,700-square-foot location on the lower level, which will have a two-story façade and exterior entrance facing New Britain Avenue.
Gong Cha, a Taiwan- and New York City-based purveyor of tea, will open a store on the lower level in the center court. Gong Cha is known for its flavorful menu of premium-quality tea and has 1,650 locations in 20 countries. It will be the store’s first location in Connecticut and is slated to open this summer.
Nearby on the lower level, Torrid, an apparel and intimates brand for women sizes 10-30 is set to open a 3,500-square-foot store this summer.
Also, specialty apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch will return to Westfarms in the Nordstrom wing, in a 7,400-square-foot space that will include Abercrombie Kids. The store is expected to open by fall.
Aerie, an intimate apparel and lifestyle retailer, has doubled its footprint in a new location on the lower level near center court. The new 4,300-square-foot store will open this spring and will feature an expanded line of its intimates, apparel, activewear and swimwear. Its newest sister store, Offline by Aerie, will open a 3,400-square-foot location on the lower level near center court this season.
Also, P.F Chang’s China Bistro has refurbished its iconic horse statue and Claire’s Jewelry has undergone a remodeling. Both renovations should be finished this spring.
