Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark in Middlebury will offer new rides while retiring others for the upcoming 2025 season, park officials announced this week.
New for next year is a spinning roller coaster on a figure-eight track design.
Also, the new Aladdin Wave Swinger, a custom-built swing ride by Wooddesign Amusement Rides, will replace the retiring Yo-Yo swing ride.
Wooddesign Amusement Rides is a multi-generational custom-craft carousels and swing rides design manufacturer.
For the start of the 2024 season, Quassy revamped its historic Fireside Pavilion, originally built in 1937. This was the first season with the fully remodeled pavilion, which offered new space for events and shows, as well as new restrooms, roofing, electrical, lights, skylights and air vents.
The improvements cost upwards of $200,000, park officials said.
Quassy often unveils new rides or attractions each season. New to the park the previous year was a Super Himalaya high-speed, circular ride.
Quassy last weekend wrapped up its 2024 season, and will mark its 117th year in 2025. The park offers more than two dozen rides and attractions, including a waterpark and lakeside beach opened in the summer.
More than 200,000 guests visit the park each year.
