Newington manufacturer wins $136.2M in Apache helicopter contracts

Newington aeroparts maker PCX Aerostructures LLC has received $136.2 million in military contracts for the production and overhaul and repair of Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter components.

As a major supplier to the Apache helicopter program for more than 30 years, PCX will manufacture new main rotorheads for the U.S. Army as part of a $72.3 million contract. The company has also secured a U.S. Army contract for Apache main rotorhead overhaul and repair services valued at $63.9 million.

PCX CEO Jeff Frisby said being awarded both contracts “is testament to our ability to be a total solution provider to our customers."

PCX Aerostructures is owned by RFE Investment Partners of New Canaan, 24/6 Capital Partners, and PCX management. The company has facilities in Newington; Mansfield, Texas; and Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
