A limited liability company linked to Massachusetts-based heavy-equipment dealer C.N. Wood recently paid $1.35 million for a 17,520-square-foot Newington warehouse that formerly served as a dealer location for heavy-equipment manufacturer Komatsu.
C.N. Wood Realty Newington LLC bought the 1972-vintage warehouse on 4.5 acres at 283 Pane Road from Chicago-based Komatsu America Corp. in a sale recorded by the town on Jan. 25.
In May 2022, C.N. Wood announced it had purchased assets of Komatsu dealer locations in Newington, as well as in Pine Bush, New York and Holmes, New York.
The deal “will make C.N. Wood a regional powerhouse with customer-focused ideals stretching from upstate New York and throughout New England,” reads a portion of the 2022 post on C.N. Wood’s website.
The deal provided distribution rights for Komatsu products and services throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and into New York along the Hudson Valley to Poughkeepsie, according to the post.
