NH residential rental market flat

The good news is that renting an apartment in New Haven remains more affordable than many major U.S. cities, including New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Denver. The bad news is that the residential rental market here is still priced above a number of fast-growing U.S. metro areas, including Atlanta, Minneapolis and Dallas/Fort Worth. According to the monthly rent report from Apartment List, the average two-bedroom apartment in the Elm City rented for $1,330 in June. That figure was essentially unchanged from May, and represents a marginal 0.8-percent increase from June 2018. That increase lags the statewide average rental increase of 1.3 percent year over year, as well as the national average increase of 1.6 percent.
