The state’s largest nonprofit senior living and healthcare provider, Masonicare, has completed the acquisition of Atria Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill, and has merged with United Methodist Homes, which has locations in Shelton, Farmington and Newington, according to an announcement.

Atria Greenridge Place, a 108-unit assisted living and memory care community, now operates as Masonicare at Greenridge Place.

United Methodist Homes, now operating under the Masonicare name, provides independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing communities.

“Our alignment with Masonicare is an exciting opportunity to extend our mission and ensure that our residents benefit from both UMH and Masonicare’s renowned expertise in senior living and healthcare services,” said David Lawlor, president and CEO of United Methodist Homes. “Under the Masonicare name, we represent a collective 280 years of excellence and a shared commitment to the highest standards of care.”

According to Masonicare, the acquisitions bring together “organizations under a shared identity that enhances service quality and extends access to Masonicare’s comprehensive continuum of care.”
