Nutmeg's Ramos tapped for national board post

Luis Ramos, chairman of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, has been elected to a three-year term as a director of the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen. Ramos has served as chairman of Nutmeg since 2014.

Headquartered in Rocky Hill and with assets of $457 million, Nutmeg has ten branches statewide, with a new branch slated to open soon in North Haven.

The law firm of Murtha Cullina LLP has named Matthew A. Ciarleglio an associate in its litigation department. Ciarleglio received his JD, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he was a member of the Quinnipiac Law Review and the Quinnipiac Moot Court Society. He earned a BA, summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Antonio Omuro, M.D., has been named chief of neuro-oncology, a division of the Yale Cancer Center that focuses on brain tumor treatment and research, effective Dec. 1. Omuro comes to Yale from the University of Miami, where he most recently was chief of its neuro-oncology division. He has also been a faculty member and researcher at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
