NY investor continues central CT buying spree with $2.7M Waterbury apartments purchase

CoStar 26 Judith Lane, Waterbury

New York-based real estate investor Yitzchok Kaufman is continuing a string of purchases in Waterbury, recently paying $2.75 million for five apartment buildings with a total of 30 units.

In a deed recorded by the city on Jan. 2, Kaufman bought apartment buildings at 15, 26, 27, 34 and 42 Judith Lane from a limited liability company whose principal is Pashk Kalaba, of New City, New York.

The sale included three roughly 50-year-old, eight-unit buildings on one-third acre lots. Two of the properties include three-family buildings, dating to the mid-1960s, on lots of a little more than one-third acre.

Kaufman, who also lists a New City, New York business address in state business filings, has bought a string of buildings in central Connecticut over the past few years.

These have ranged from a $1.4 million purchase of a 16-unit building at 1054 Bank St., in Waterbury, to a $3.75 million purchase of a 60-unit building at 28 Scovill St., in Waterbury.
