Operation Fuel names new executive director

Bloomfield resident Brenda Watson has been named executive director of Operation Fuel.
Watson joined Operation Fuel, a statewide nonprofit that provides emergency energy assistance to low-income families and individuals, in 2010 as its director of community programs. She replaces Karen Adamson, who resigned in October for health reasons, according to the nonprofit.
Watson holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Memorial University and a master’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford, said Nancy H. Bulkeley, Operation Fuel’s board chair, who welcomed her to the new role.
