Otis appoints new VP, CFO

Farmington-based Otis Worldwide Corp. has appointed a longtime finance executive as the company’s next chief financial officer and vice president, the elevator manufacturer announced.
Cristina Méndez will succeed Anurag Maheshwari, who is leaving to pursue an opportunity outside the company, on Aug. 23. As executive vice president and CFO, Méndez will report directly to Otis Chair, CEO & President Judy Marks, the company said.
Méndez joined Oitis in 2022 and currently serves as senior vice president of finance for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Before coming to Otis she worked as a finance executive in the telecommunications industry, mostly at Madrid-based Telefonica Group, for more than 15 years, according to Otis.
It will mark a little more than two years at the position for Maheshwari, who took over the post in August 2022.
Maheshwari and Méndez will both be on Otis’ earnings call next week, the company said.
