A Rocky Hill-based company’s plans to build a cannabis cultivation facility in New Britain are moving forward.

CCC Construction has proposed building a marijuana grow facility in a former 133,000-square-foot former bank property at 436 Slater Road.

CCC would lease the property to two commercial growers, according to the Hartford Courant.

The application also states that the parking area can accommodate three additional 5,000-square-foot buildings that would be a good fit for “cannabis retail or hybrid-retail businesses.”

If the project, which has gotten some pushback from local neighbors, gets full approvals, CCC would purchase the former Webster Bank Resource Center site.

The New Britain Zoning Board of Appeals has already rendered multiple approvals for the project but still needs to give a final sign off. On Jan. 31, it will hear a presentation on the project plan from the developer.
