Portfolio of five, century-old Hartford apartment buildings sells for $2.4M

A portfolio of two vacant lots and five closely packed, six-family apartment buildings in Hartford recently sold for $2.4 million.

GREF Hartford LLC sold its collection of century-old, brick apartment buildings along Bedford Street to Brooklyn-based Bedford CT LLC in a deed logged by the city on Jan. 31.

The buyer’s principal is Gitty Oberlander, according to state business records.

The portfolio includes 30 apartment units overall. 

The seller, GREF Hartford LLC, is a limited liability company tied to Los Angeles-based GreenLake Asset Management LLC. The same company unloaded a portfolio of 32 apartments in four Hartford buildings for $1.87 million in late 2023.

The $2.4 million sale recorded Jan. 31 includes five buildings built between 1900 and 1920 at 32 Bedford St., 41 Bedford St., 45 Bedford St., 51 Bedford St., and 61 Bedford St., according to assessing and land records. It also includes two vacant lots at 22 Bedford St. and 55 Bedford St.
