Waterbury-based Post University is offering three new nursing courses through its School of Continuing Education.
The courses cover topics such as cardiac medications, respiratory medications and prescribing essentials. They are geared toward advanced practice registered nurses, or APRNs.
According to the university, the courses may satisfy continuing education requirements for APRNs who are looking to maintain licensure and certification.
Post University School of Continuing Education Dean Dawn Sherman said the university aims to provide nurses with courses to help them “stay abreast of evolving healthcare approaches.”
“The need for accessible, low-cost continuing education options is essential for nurses to reinforce their skillset and maintain their certification,” Sherman said. “These initial courses are the first of many online options for our dedicated frontline healthcare workers.”
