Law firm Pullman & Comley LLC, which has offices in downtown Hartford, has expanded its footprint with the addition of two new locations, including its first in Massachusetts.
Already one of the state’s largest law firms, Pullman & Comley said it launched new offices in Westport, 253 Post Road West, and Springfield, 1500 Main St., in May.
The 6,500-square-foot Westport office houses five employees and three split their time between that location and the firm’s six other sites. The firm’s 2,000-square-foot office in Springfield includes six attorneys who are also working in Hartford.
Officials said the Westport expansion was driven by the firm’s significant growth in its mid-market business and the need of individual clients in the area. In particular, its family law, trusts and estates and real estate practices have been growing, they said.
Meantime, the firm’s debut in Western Massachusetts marked a targeted expansion in its property tax and valuation practice, which already operates outside Connecticut, to serve the real estate industry.
Pullman & Comley occupies the 13th and 14th floors of 90 State House Square in downtown Hartford, in addition to other offices in Bridgeport, Stamford, Waterbury and White Plains, N.Y. The firm doesn’t have a designated headquarters, officials said.
With over 90 attorneys, partners, associates and paralegals as of April 2018, the firm at the time ranked as Greater Hartford’s ninth largest law firm, according to Hartford Business Journal’s 2019 Book of Lists.
