Wethersfield healthcare consultant Qualidigm has relocated headquarters to a previously foreclosed office building in town it recently purchased for $2.1 million and renovated to support its rapidly growing operations and staff.
Qualidigm bought the 44,000-square-foot, Class B building at 936 Silas Deane Highway last October, and immediately began renovations to create an “open-space'' concept that allows more staff collaboration and innovation, CEO Tim Elwell said.
The seller was PBE Companies LLC, the foreclosure-liquidation arm of Spanish bank giant Santander SA, which operates an extensive Connecticut branch network. It was the building's third sale since 1998, said buyer's broker Colliers International.
CBRE-New England represented Providence-based PBE Companies.
Wethersfield's CT Peer Review Organization (CPRO) will occupy a portion of the building, Colliers said.
In addition to buying the corporate headquarters, Qualidigm said it leased long-term “community space” at 912 Silas Deane Highway, across the street from the main office.
The 3,300-square-foot space houses the company's board room and serves as a large meeting space for Qualidigm-hosted programs. Accommodating more than 120 people, the space also is available to other organizations from the local healthcare community to host larger meetings and programs, Elwell said.
The acquirer of a four-building industrial complex in Windsor Locks is preparing to renovate the property as part of a tenant buildout, its lender says.
Guilford Savings Bank says it recently provided a $3.5 million commercial mortgage to the buyer of a property known as the Crown Park Portfolio, at 315-319 Ella Grasso Turnpike, near Bradley International Airport.
With only interest due initially, the debt eventually converts to a 25-year amortizing loan within 24 months.
The industrial complex consists of four buildings totaling 117,474 square feet. Three buildings are fully leased, while the fourth building is vacant, the lender said.
The property includes national and regional tenants such as United Parcel Service, Forward Air, East Coast Logistics, and Air Contact Transport.
Middletown broker Trevor Davis Commercial Real Estate LLC recently announced a series of area office, retail and commercial leases. Trevor Davis was sole broker, except where noted.
