Recreational cannabis sales continue to climb in CT, reach new monthly high

Connecticut recreational cannabis industry sales hit a new monthly high in September of more than $14.3 million, according to new information from the state.

Connecticut’s recreational marijuana market once again surpassed the sales totals of the prior month, with almost a $400,000 increase from August to September, according to data from the state Department of Consumer protection.

Overall, adult-use cannabis sales have now exceeded $97 million through nine months.

Medical marijuana sales were $10.8 million in September, down slightly from the $10.9 million in August.

In September, adult-use consumers purchased 376,035 products at an average price of $38.37. Medical patients purchased 284,116 products at an average cost of $38.21.

Adult-use cannabis sales began in Connecticut on Jan. 10.
