A Rocky Hill-based IT management and security firm announced a new partnership with a national cybersecurity provider that will bring more jobs to its headquarters, company officials said.

ADNET Technologies  announced this month its security management services provider MachBlue Defense has merged with California-based Digital Umbrella to create a new cybersecurity firm, Cyber74, with a national presence. Cyber74 serves a customer base of small to medium-sized businesses, the healthcare industry and government organizations, company officials said.

ADNET’s headquarters in Rocky Hill will serve as one of Cyber74’s three regional locations — the other two being in California — and the new national firm plans to hire almost 30 new team members this year.

Cyber74 is a subsidiary of New Charter Technologies and backed by Oval Partners, a Palo Alto-based private equity firm.
