A Shelton developer has purchased a two-story office building in Wilton for $1.78 million, according to town records.
R.D. Scinto Inc. in January purchased the 41,961-square-foot building from Furst Properties LLC of Wilton, which is owned by Austin Furst.
R.D. Scinto bought the property to accommodate three professional-service tenants that previously occupied 45 Danbury Road, a three-story, 45,946-square-foot office building that the developer also owns, CEO Robert Scinto said.
The building at 45 Danbury Road is now occupied by one tenant, an orthopedic group, he said.
The building at 88 Danbury Road, which Furst Properties bought for $2.2 million in 1994 and sits on 3.98 acres, is appraised at $7.45 million and assessed at $5.21 million, property records show.
R.D. Scinto owns 40 commercial buildings that contain a total of 4 million square feet of space, according to its website.
