The Kerr Agency, an insurance brokerage based in Simsbury, has been acquired by King Risk Partners, expanding the company’s presence in Connecticut and the Northeast.
King Risk already has offices in Avon, Essex, Meriden and Wethersfield, and operates across 11 other states, including Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The Kerr Agency has been an independent brokerage since 1927.
"Their strong reputation, extensive experience, and long-standing client relationships align perfectly with our vision of growth through partnerships with established agencies,” said Malcolm King, CEO of King Risk Partners. “This acquisition not only strengthens our footprint in Connecticut but also enhances our ability to provide top-notch service to our clients."
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
It marks the latest in a string of acquisitions for the Florida-based firm. Within the last month King Risk has made deals to buy brokerages in Ohio and Tennessee.
