Kevin G. Billingsley, MD has been named chief medical officer at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center and professor of surgery at Yale School of Medicine. Billingsley starts in his new position January 2020.
Billingsley will be responsible for clinical cancer care at Yale Cancer Center, Smilow and Smilow’s network of 14 care centers throughout Connecticut, as well as clinical program development for cancer services throughout the Yale New Haven Health systems. Billingsley will oversee quality and patient-safety initiatives, evaluate and optimize team structure, assist with facilities/space planning, support the research mission, and interact and coordinate with YNHH’s clinical leadership.
Billingsley joins Yale from Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) where he currently serves as medical director of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, chief of surgical oncology, and the Hedinger Professor of Surgical Oncology. He is recognized as an international leader in the clinical care and research of hepatobiliary cancers and serves as co-director of OHSU’s Liver Tumor Program.
Billingsley trained in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as administrative chief fellow. He was graduated from Stanford University and earned his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Billingsley is currently an MBA candidate at Oregon Health and Sciences University.

Gateway, the terminal operator and marine service provider with operations in New Haven and New London, has named James Dillman president. He will be responsible for leading the operations and commercial activities of Gateway Terminal in New Haven and Gateway New London. Dillman most recently managed 12 terminals at Ozinga Materials & Logistics in Mokena, Ill. Before that he held executive roles at North American terminal businesses including Diversified Port Holdings, Metro Ports, Ceres Gulf and Swire Shipping. Dillman was graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1986 with a BS in marine transportation. He is a retired commander of the U.S. Naval Reserve and currently serves as Commanding Officer for the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps - Katy Division.

The Board of Directors of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) has appointed Nandini Natarajan chief executive officer effective November 1 — the first female in that role over the half-century history of the authority. Natarajan comes to CHFA after serving as chief financial officer of the Illinois Housing Development Authority. Before working for IHDA, Natajaran was a financial advisor for Caine Mitter & Associates in New York. She has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Smith College and a master’s in computer science from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.

Kevin Burke is a senior vice president and market executive for Wells Fargo commercial banking in the company’s Connecticut and New York Capital Region. He holds a BA from Fordham, an MA in international relations from Boston University and an MBA in finance from the University of Connecticut.
Lauren Tagliatela
Tagliatela is chief community officer for Canal Crossing at Whitneyville West and Franklin Communities. She was graduated from Boston University with a BS in journalism and earned an MBA from Albertus Magnus College.

The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce has named two Quinnipiac University administrators to its board of directors. Shanna Kornachuk, senior associate director of compliance and student development in athletics and recreation, and Matt Kurz, assistant dean of student affairs, have been appointed to two-year terms, which began in September.
