Though Fairfield County is Connecticut’s most populous region, Hartford County has more solar jobs, according to the nonprofit Solar Foundation.
The foundation issued an update Wednesday to its latest National Solar Jobs Census, released in February.
That census found 2,193 solar jobs in Connecticut, with the largest portion being installation jobs.
On Wednesday, the foundation released a more granular analysis for each state, revealing solar job counts by county and metro area.
Hartford County has 870, or 40 percent, of Connecticut’s solar jobs. Fairfield County trails with 669 jobs.
The Hartford metro area also had the most jobs of any other metro area in the state, with 1,198 jobs, according to the data.
