If you have an idea or a vision and you want to make sure you achieve it, call Stephen Frenkel. Frenkel works with people and organizations to help them realize their goals. He’s been working as a leadership and organization development coach/consultant for more than 10 years and is currently a change manager on Cigna’s central operating effectiveness team. His commitment to his profession stems from his belief that people can be better partners, parents and community members when they’re engaged, challenged and valued at work.
Giving back, both locally and globally, is important to Frenkel. He is currently board member of the Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation, community service chair at Montessori School of Greater Hartford (which his children attend), and co-chair of the HaitiWorks! Annual Golf Tournament (supporting the rebuilding of Haiti after the 2010 earthquake). Frenkel is a mentor to various individuals in the Hartford area.
Frenkel is a proud husband and father of two young children. In addition to working hard to be a positive role model for his family and others, he enjoys skiing, motorcycle riding, hiking and camping.
Where do you get your motivation to succeed? I've always been driven to do my best. I get this from my parents (and from their parents). Today, I'm motivated most by the thought of doing well for my family and being a good role model for my kids.
How will you change the world? One connection at a time. My personal goal when I interact with people (in any environment) is to get to know them and to help them identify and unlock their true potential. My mission is to help people overcome whatever obstacles are in their way so they can be their greatest self and have the biggest possible impact on our world and future generations.
If you could only have five stamps in your life passport, what would they be?
Traveled the world
Lived life without regret
Laughed with his kids everyday
Self-guided the Colorado River of the Grand Canyon
Executive coach to the world's most powerful leaders
During my off time, I am most passionate about … Motorcycling and skiing
What is the most exciting destination you've ever traveled to? New Zealand
