What have been your biggest professional accomplishments?

Caring for my disabled mother at 19 profoundly shaped my passion for health equity. My proudest accomplishment is creating the health equity department at Access Health CT.

This role allowed me to enhance multicultural outreach and improve access to health care for minorities, reflecting my commitment to societal impact and influenced by my personal journey.

What’s the next big goal you want to accomplish professionally?

I aim to continue to collaborate closely with local communities to tailor health initiatives that directly address their unique challenges.

By creating stronger community relationships and empowering local voices, I hope to build a more inclusive framework that can serve as a model for other health equity initiatives.

What’s one of the biggest professional challenges you’ve overcome?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve overcome is navigating the systemic barriers and biases that minority women often face in the corporate space.

It demanded resilience and innovation to break barriers and establish a more inclusive environment for myself and others following in my footsteps.

How are you involved in the community?

My engagement in the community is not just a professional duty but a personal mission. Leading health equity efforts, I’ve collaborated with over 2,000 partners statewide to dismantle healthcare barriers for minorities.

This work, aimed at elevating communities, blends my personal experiences with my commitment to advocacy and meaningful connections.

What legacy do you want to leave after your career is over?

I aspire to leave a legacy where businesses recognize the value in actively engaging with underserved communities, not only to assist those in need, but also to understand the profound impact of such engagements on societal progress and corporate responsibility.
