Steve C. Webb is TD Bank’s new president for southern New England, covering Connecticut and several other Northeast states.

Webb succeeds Mark Crandall, recently promoted to head middle-market products and services for the U.S. arm of Canada’s Toronto-Dominion Bank.

TD Bank’s southern New England turf also includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island and upstate New York with a combined 215 branches.

A 30-year veteran, Webb previously headed TD’s New Hampshire commercial market, where he was responsible for the growth and expansion of commercial and small business lending, cash management and government banking in the state.

"I am thrilled to fulfill this role and to help drive TD's strategic direction in Southern New England," said Webb. "There is tremendous opportunity in this region and I'm truly humbled to be able to lead this charge."

Webb, who earned a bachelor's degree from Texas’ Trinity University, is a trustee for the Wentworth Douglass Health System and sits on the boards of the New Hampshire Bankers Association, the New Hampshire Higher Education Loan Corporation and the Granite United Way.

He is also a member of Robert Morris Associates, a professional association of lending and credit risk professionals.
