TenantBase debuts commercial real estate service in New Haven area

California-based commercial real estate platform TenantBase has expanded into southern Connecticut, promising simplified technology and local market expertise to businesses seeking new locations.

The company’s platform allows tenants seeking new industrial, retail, medical or coworking space to search listings, view spaces and get recommendations from local brokers. A tenant’s requirements are shared anonymously with leasing parties, who can submit spaces for consideration. Services for tenants are free.

Local brokers in partnership with TenantBase organize property tours and negotiate the lease on behalf of the tenant.

TenantBase said transactions on its platform closed in an average of less than 60 days, compared to six months using traditional options.

TenantBase CEO Bennett Washabaugh said, “Our partners share our passion for delivering the best service to tenants actively searching for their next space, and we are excited to begin serving businesses in this market.”

Southern Connecticut is the latest of  52 markets for TenantBase, which added 40 new service areas in 2021. The company is based in Santa Monica, Calif.

According to the company, TenantBase completed $500 million in commercial lease transactions as of mid-2021.
