The First Tee of CT adds development manager, seven new board members

The First Tee of Connecticut, a Cromwell-based youth development program teaching life skills and leadership through the game of golf, recently announced the hiring of Christy Deep as manager of development/events and the addition of seven new board members: Javier Colon and Joe LaCava as honorary members and Pat Meiser, Michael Moutenot, Marshall Ruben, Scott Seymour and Craig Watchmaker as members.

Deep will be responsible for community and board relations, and executing fundraising events to support development activities.

Colon is a singer-songwriter-guitarist and the winner of the inaugural season of NBC’s “The Voice.”

LaCava is a 30-year PGA Tour veteran who spent two decades as Fred Couples’ caddie and currently works with Tiger Woods.

Meiser recently retired as the director of athletics and special assistant to the president at the University of Hartford and now manages Meiser Sports Consulting, a campus, career and community consulting firm.

Moutenot is vice president for U.S. sponsorships for MasterCard.

Ruben is a principal in and president of HHH Properties Corp., a real estate development company, and also is president of Hartford law firm Ruben/Horan PC.

Seymour is senior vice president and director of golf consulting for Octagon Worldwide.

Watchmaker is a partner in the deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York, where he leads the retail and consumer sector.
