Thomaston Savings Bank has promoted a longtime employee who began her career as a teller to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Rebekah Stokes was promoted to the executive level from the role of senior vice president and CFO, said Stephen Lewis, president and CEO of Thomaston Savings Bank, in an announcement Friday.
Stokes began as a teller in 2001, and joined the finance department in 2008. She was promoted to vice president and senior financial officer in 2016.
In addition, the bank promoted Jen Wabiszczewicz to vice president and controller, and Chad Belanger to vice president and treasurer.
Wabiszczewicz joined the bank 25 years ago, also starting as a teller. She rose through the ranks to senior teller, head teller, accounting assistant, accounting supervisor, assistant treasurer/accounting manager and was promoted to associate vice president and accounting manager in 2023.
Belanger participated in the bank’s “school-to-career” program as a teller from March 2006 to August 2007. He grew within the organization, advancing to positions of senior teller and head teller.
He became associate vice president and treasury analyst in 2012.
Lewis said the bank seeks to “nurture talent from within.”
Thomaston Savings Bank, established in 1874, is a state-chartered mutual savings bank. It has 16 full-service branches.
