CareerPath, a mobile platform that helps people engage in the career development process, has won the top prize in the Hartford-based reSET’s 2017 Venture Showcase.

Seven finalists competed for a total of $30,000 in unrestricted funding through the program run by reSET, a social enterprise trust whose mission is to advance the sector by supporting entrepreneurs.

The finalists all pitched their businesses to an audience of founders, investors, and community and corporate stakeholders, as well as a panel of judges. Winners were announced Wednesday night to a sellout crowd of 200 at the Mark Twain House and Museum.

The annual event recognizes entrepreneurs and innovative businesses that have just graduated from reSET’s nationally recognized accelerator. Seventeen startups graduated recently.

CareerPath has been awarded $10,000. Pelletric, which is developing a device that measures vital health statistics, won $6,000.

Phood Solutions, which measures food production costs, won $4,000, and also earned the $10,000 Walker Group Tech Impact Award.

Other finalists included Almasuite, Eureeka BI, Optima Sports System and Sweetflexx.

In January, reSET expanded its accelerator program.
