TicketNetwork blankets S. Windsor HQ roof with solar panels

A newly unveiled rooftop solar array on its South Windsor headquarters will provide about 70 percent of TicketNetwork’s annual energy needs, the sports and entertainment ticketing broker announced.

TicketNetwork said the installation of its 1.4-megawatt rooftop system wrapped back in May. On Wednesday, the company held a ribbon cutting event and released a drone video giving an aerial view of the 4,365 panels, which cover most of its roof at its 75 Gerber Road address, which is visible from I-84.

The company didn’t disclose the cost of the system, which was installed by EnterSolar, but said it expected to recoup its investment in less than four years.

“It is a goal of ours to be a good neighbor and environmental steward in all aspects of our operations,” CEO Don Vaccaro said in a statement. “This project is a big step in our continuing goal to minimize our consumption and be a role model within our community and beyond.”
