A limited liability company tied to Meriden-based Ragozzino Foods sold a deep freeze warehouse in Tolland to Duff Real Estate LLC, in an $8.7 million deal recorded April 4.
The 71,343-square-foot industrial building sits on 26 acres at 55 Gerber Drive.
According to its website, Duff Real Estate, based in Columbia, Mississippi, owns and develops properties for other operating entities of its parent company – Duff Capital Investors – as well as for other companies.
Duff owns and manages more than 130 properties in 18 states, according to its website. New Jersey is the closest of those states to Connecticut.
The limited liability company associated with Ragozzino paid $5 million for the Gerber Drive property in 2020, according to town records.
Attempts to reach representatives of Ragozzino Foods and Duff Real Estate were not immediately successful Thursday morning.
The property had once served frozen foods distributor Dari Farms, until the company laid off 91 workers there and closed the facility in 2019.
