Torrington assisted living community acquired

A Mass.-based senior living facility developer has acquired a 68-unit assisted living and memory care complex in Torrington.

Northbridge Cos., which owns and operates 18 senior communities in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire, says it recently acquired Torrington's Atria at Litchfield Hills community for an undisclosed sum.

Northbridge says it will own and manage the two-story community at 376 Goshen Road under the new name "The Cottage at Litchfield Hills." The complex includes 39 assisted living and 29 memory care studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

"The Cottage at Litchfield Hills now has access to our vast resources such as signature programs, extensive training for our caregivers, and an experienced leadership team, many of whom reside in Connecticut," said Northbridge co-founder and President Wendy Nowokunski.
