Torrington office building that houses state agencies sells for $3.3M

A Torrington office building that houses state agencies has sold for $3.3 million, land records show. 

The 33,000-square-foot office building, at 62 Commercial Blvd., was sold on Sept. 17 to BHAVAN Office LLC, which is controlled by Jai and Vipul Patel.

The Patels run New York-based Pride Hospitality Group, according to David Theroux, principal of Middlebury-based Drubner Commercial, who brokered the deal. 

The seller was Kennedy Dr. Enterprises and JSD Partners of Waterbury. 

The 1971-vintage property, which includes 11 acres in Torrington’s Commercial Park, is fully occupied by tenants that include the state departments of social services and children and families, and Now Inc., of Waterbury, according to Theroux.
