Travelers expands medical industry insurance coverage

Property and casualty insurer The Travelers Cos. Inc. has expanded its medtech segment to insure organizations in the life sciences industry.
The New York-based insurer, which has a major presence in downtown Hartford, announced Thursday its life science practice is now offering insurance and risk-management services to pharmaceutical, medical device and digital health companies, which includes healthcare IT, telemedicine and medical software.
Travelers’ life sciences unit provides organizations errors and omissions, cybersecurity and industry-specific products liability.
