A Hartford-based nonprofit that helps business startups grow is holding a pitchfest and launch party at the Trinity Innovation Center on June 5.

The nonprofit, FORGE, focuses on helping manufacturers take their innovations from prototypes to production and scale through its “manufacturing institute.”

The pitchfest competition includes up to $40,000 in prizes, along with networking.

Keynote speakers are Paul Lavoie, the state’s chief manufacturing officer, and Onyeka Obiocha, executive director of CTNext.

FORGE has helped companies receive contracts worth more than $41 million, adding more than 5,500 innovation and manufacturing jobs to the economy, according to the nonprofit.

The event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Trinity Innovation Center, 1 Constitution Plaza, 3rd Floor, Hartford.
