UConn’s School of Business to induct 5 into Hall of Fame

The University of Connecticut’s School of Business will induct five alumni into its Hall of Fame next month.

The honorees are: 

  • Trisha Bailey, a graduate of Hartford’s Weaver High School and founder of Bailey’s Pharmacy & Medical Equipment & Supplies in East Hartford; 
  • Laurie Havanec, former executive vice president and chief people officer at CVS Health; 
  • John Hodson, founder of Branford-based employee benefits provider True Benefit; 
  • Greg Lewis, former senior vice president and chief financial officer at Honeywell; and
  • Rob Skinner, founder and managing partner of IEQ Capital in San Francisco.

Bailey, a Jamaica native, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UConn in 1999 and received an honorary degree from the School of Pharmacy in 2023.

Havanec earned a bachelor’s degree from UConn’s School of Business in 1982, and received a law degree from UConn Law School in 1994.

Hodson received his bachelor’s degree from UConn in 1985 and has worked at The Travelers Cos. and ConnectiCare.

Lewis earned his bachelor’s degree from the School of Business in 1991, with a major in finance, and went on to receive an MBA from Fordham University.

Skinner, a 1993 graduate of UConn, began his career at Fidelity Investments in 1995 and later joined Merrill Lynch.

The quintet of business leaders will be honored at a dinner on Friday, April 11, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
