“Teeing off” at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford usually means a linebacker crushing a quarterback.
Upper Deck now offers a different take on that.
Upper Deck Golf said Tuesday that the public is invited to book tee times for a golf event set for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13-14, that will offer fans an opportunity to play a round of golf inside the 38,000-seat stadium that is home to University of Connecticut football.
As part of the event, fans will have a chance to play a round of golf throughout the stadium down to custom greens on the field while enjoying music, cold drinks, food and multiple golfing challenges at a clubhouse bar and festival area.
Registration for tee times opens in July, but fans can register now for early access. Tee times are limited and are expected to sell out quickly. The cost of registration was not released.
Upper Deck Golf said it will offer tee times as early as 7 a.m. and as late as 9 p.m. Tee times will be offered in two-player increments.
VIP tee times are also available, offering additional perks that include free entry into driving, chipping and putting challenges and complimentary food and beverage items.
