Wareck D’Ostilio Real Estate is joining Houlihan Lawrence, a brokerage which serves New York City’s northern suburbs and Fairfield County, as an independently-owned affiliate.
Wareck D’Ostilio has five offices in New Haven, Milford, Woodbridge, Branford and Old Saybrook, and it handles residential and commercial property sales throughout the New Haven region.
The transition to the new brand of “Houlihan Lawrence Wareck D'Ostilio” is expected to be completed by early February, according to an announcement.
John Wareck, co-owner and managing broker, said, “It is with great excitement that we join Houlihan Lawrence and begin a new chapter in 2022.”
Wareck D’Ostilio has about 75 real estate agents. The larger Houlihan Lawrence has 30 offices and approximately 1,450 agents.
Houlihan Lawrence has a long history — it was originally founded in Bronxville, N.Y., in 1888, and it has established itself in Fairfield County, with offices in Greenwich, Riverside, Darien and New Canaan.
The company called the Wareck D’Ostilio deal a “significant expansion move” which will grow its presence in Connecticut.
Liz Nunan, president and CEO of Houlihan Lawrence, said the company is thrilled to partner with Wareck D’Ostilio, as she said it is a well-known and respected real estate brokerage that is woven into the fabric of Greater New Haven and the Shoreline.
“This partnership further strengthens our leadership position in Connecticut,” Nunan said.
Wareck’s partners, Frank D’Ostilio, Greg Robbins and Rhonda Young, said they anticipate that their firm will benefit from affiliating with Houlihan Lawrence.
"Their powerful brand and marketing platform will elevate our company and both our residential and commercial clients to new levels of success,” Wareck added.
