West Hartford industrial property sells for $1.8M

A West Hartford industrial property has sold for $1.75 million, land records show.

The 32,255-square-foot property at 114 Shield St. sold Aug. 3, records show. 

The buyer was Tim Backus, who is the president and CEO of West Hartford metal-finishing company Har-Conn.

The seller was MRJ Associates LLC, which is controlled by Elizabeth Dillon. Dillon Mailing & Printing is the property’s sole tenant. Dillon originally bought the property in 1999 for $855,000.

The property was built in 1979, sits on 1.56 acres, and has 30 surface parking spaces.
