A West Hartford social services nonprofit has purchased a Hartford office building for $625,000, according to a broker involved in the deal.
The Bridge Family Center Inc., which provides mental health and other services for children and families, has purchased the 6,090-square-foot office building at 664 Farmington Ave.
The nonprofit plans to use the building as a quality parenting center, which facilitates visitation between parents and their children in out-of-home care, a broker said.
The seller was BBAD Realty LLC, which is controlled by John Berman. Berman originally purchased the property in 2005 for $546,250. The property was formerly home to law firm Berman Bourns Aaron & Dembo.
The property was built in 1920, sits on 0.46 acres and has 18 surface parking spaces, according to CoStar.
Hartford-based Sentry Commercial and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services NE were the brokers involved in the deal.
