Lab Logistics Management, a West Haven-based company that serves the healthcare industry, announced this week it has a new name: BioTouch.
Lab Logistics Management provides outsourced medical supplies, kitting and logistics services, and is a portfolio company of Atlantic Street Capital. Its customers include medical laboratories, hospitals, life science companies and university health systems, and its technology includes software that tracks courier and lab specimen locations.
The company’s five brands ‒ Lab Logistics, Path Tec, Hospital Couriers, Printcraft and The Allied Group ‒ are now included under the BioTouch rebrand, according to an announcement.
The brand websites as of Friday still have the original names, but with the addition of “Now a BioTouch company,” under the brand names to mark the change.
Ruth Abdulmassih, who has been the CEO of Lab Logistics and is now CEO of BioTouch, said, “BioTouch is a unifying name that we are proud to launch into the marketplace.”
“The new name reflects our excitement as we look forward and advance our mission to personalize, connect and improve the quality of patient care,” Abdulmassih said.
Andy Wilkins, chairman of BioTouch and managing partner at Atlantic Street Capital, said bringing the five brands under the BioTouch umbrella is “a critical step” in integrating its global business.
The company is now focusing on global expansion, including new product development and growth within the clinical trial and pharmaceutical industries, according to Wilkins.
The company plans to accomplish this expansion both through organic growth and through the acquisition of complementary businesses, Wilkins said.
