The Connecticut Siting Council could be nearing a decision on a developer’s application to build a massive fuel cell park in Beacon Falls.
The council, which has exclusive authority to approve large fuel-cell projects, said on Friday that it had finished gathering evidence, arguments and public comments regarding Beacon Falls Energy Park’s 63.3-megawatt park, which would oust a 59-megawatt system in South Korea as the largest in the world.
The draft findings of fact issued by the council last week is one of the last steps in the process before a final decision.
BFEP, which is based in Middletown and is a subsidiary of Torrington-based O&G Industries, and any intervenors have until the end of the month to point out errors or inconsistencies.
The company applied to the council in late August, asking it to approve the project through a declaratory ruling.
