Yale New Haven Health expands Greater Hartford urgent care footprint

Yale New Haven Health (YNHH) continues to add urgent care clinics in Hartford County, marking the opening Monday of a new site in Glastonbury.

YNHH acquired PhysicianOne Urgent Care in October 2023 and rebranded it as Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care. At the time, PhysicianOne had 18 locations in Connecticut, six in Massachusetts and three in New York.

YNHH now operates more than 20 urgent care centers overall. In addition to the Glastonbury center at 2955 Main St., Hartford County locations include Bristol, Enfield, Manchester and West Hartford.

“Yale New Haven Health’s presence in Hartford County marks an exciting milestone for our health system as we continue to grow our services across the state,” said YNHH CEO Christopher O’Connor.

Urgent care centers offer access to treatment when an illness or injury does not require care in an emergency department or an immediate visit to a primary care doctor is not possible.

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care centers treat wounds, sprains, strains and burns; provide school, camp and sports physicals; treat pediatric injuries and concerns, including strep throat, ear infections, eye infections and flu; and perform X-rays.

The centers also offer 24/7 telehealth, enabling patients to speak with medical providers anywhere, anytime.

All of the Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Patients can walk in or reserve an in-person or virtual telehealth appointment online at https://ynhhs.org/urgentcare.
