Yale University has leased nearly 4,000 square feet of medical office space in Madison for a dermatology practice.
The property at 1353 Boston Post Road will also undergo extensive renovations.
The lease is for five years, but other financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The two-story building, which has more than 10,800 square feet of space and room for up to eight medical office suites, was built in 1978.
Property owners Perpetuity Real Estate LLC bought the building for $1.95 million in February 2022, according to town records.
Yale will occupy most of the main floor, and the remaining 6,000-plus square feet is vacant and available.
Ideal tenants would be those “whose operations would synergize with Yale’s medical practice,” said Kristin Geenty, of The Geenty Group Commercial Realtors, who negotiated the lease.
Yale also has a major presence in Guilford, along the Interstate 95 corridor.
